Village Playgarden

2012 - 2013 Village Playgarden Schedule, Tuition, and Fees

Visits may be arranged Thursdays at 4:30 pm.  Please call to schedule.  We are willing to arrange an alternate time for visiting if this set schedule is impossible.

Village Playgarden offers:

Mornings (8:30-12:30)    or     Extended day (8:30-3:30)  

5-day, 3-day, and 2 day options:

5-days, M-F                3-days M, Tu, W  or  W, Th, F             2 days, M,Tu  or  Th, F

2013 Summer in the Garden Program: June 17 - August 9, 2013 (see fees below)

School Calendar: We follow a modified traditional school calendar (see below).

2012 - 2013 Tuition and Fees

Application/Interview fee for the school year program: $50

Monthly Tuition:
(Tuition fees include mostly organic, freshly made snack and lunch--2 snacks for extended day)

Morning Program (8:30-12:30)    

2-Day: $450/month      3-Day: $600/month      5-day: $975/month

Full-Day Program (8:30-3:30)      

2-Day: $550/month      3-Day: $830/month      5-day: $1250/month

Deposit/Annual Materials and Equipment Fees

(For new students this fee is due upon acceptance as a deposit, to hold your child's place.  Becomes materials/equipment fee.  For returning students this fee is due annually from the date of enrollment):

2-Day:  $300    3-Day:  $450    5-day:  $750

Summer In the Garden Program  Fees:
(all meals included; morning snack, lunch, afternoon snack)

Invoices may be arranged for weekly or monthly payment,

2-Day: $110/week      3-Day: $150/week      5-day: $240/week     

Full-Day Program (8:30-3:30)
2-Day: $145/week      3-Day: $210/week      5-day: $310/week    

Deposit/Materials and Equipment Fee (multiply weekly fee below by the number of weeks you wish your child to attend.  Your space is guaranteed when we have received your deposit)

2-Day: $15/week      3-Day: $20/week      5-day: $30/week

• Tuition is due on the 15th of the preceding month or the Friday of the preceding week for the summer program.
• CCIS accepted and recipients  are strongly encouraged to apply.  Please call to discuss arrangements.
  
• Village Playgarden intends to be an accessible program.  As such, a limited number of scholarships are available.  Please call to discuss.
  
• There is a 10% sibling discount for the first sibling, and a 15% sibling discount for every sibling thereafter.

Village Playgarden will be closed on the following dates for the 2012 - 2013 school year:

• We observe all federal holidays
• We schedule four all community work days a year; one in each season.  You will be notified in advance of the dates as they are scheduled.
• Parents are encouraged to attend community meetings and festivals.

 September 4- 6 (Tuesday-Thursday)  Open Play days/community work days.  9am-11 am. Any and all are welcomed to come and play in the Village Playgarden yard.  This is a good opportunity to refamiliarize yourself and your child with Village Playgarden.  Please bring a snack for your child.  No need to schedule, just drop in on any or all of these days.  Please plan to have one parent stay.

September 5 (Wednesday) All community meeting. 7-9 pm. welcome and welcome back.  This meeting is for adults only and Village Playgarden will not be providing childcare.

September 10(Monday) Garden Gates are open. First Day of Community.  The gates are opened at 8:00 and you are welcomed to come on into the yard and play with your child.  Teachers will be available to receive your child at 8:30.

September 28 (Friday) Fall equinox harvest feast/Michaelmas puppet show (in school lunch)

October 8 (Monday) Community closed Indigenous People's day ("columbus day")

October 31 (Wednesday) Halloween/Samahain/Dia de los Muertos (in school lunch)

November 9 (Friday) Martimas Lantern walk 6-8 pm, all are welcomed  

November 12 (Monday) Community closed Veterans Day

November 21 (Wednesday)      12:30 dismissal for all , Thanksgiving

November 22& 23 (Thursday & Friday) Community closed for Thanksgiving

December 1 (Saturday)               Winter Market

December 21 (Friday) 6-8 pm Celebration of Light Advent spiral, all are welcomed (12:30 dismissal for all)

December 24-January 4              Winter Break; community closed until Monday January 7

January 21 (Monday) Community closed observing Martin Luther King Jr. Day

February 14 (Thursday)  Valentine's Day sharing for all

February 18 (Monday)    Community closed observing President's Day

April 1-5 (Monday-Friday) Community closed Spring Break

April 12 (Friday) Forest Kindergarten treks begin until Friday May 31

May 27 (Monday) Community closed observing Memorial Day

May 3 (Friday) May Day/Cinco de Mayo/Children's Day all community festival

June 12 (Wednesday) Rainbow Bridge ceremony, last day of community potluck. Garden Gates close at 12:30

June 17 (Monday) Summer in the Garden begins

August 23 (Friday)            Last Day of Summer in the Garden
